The goal of this project was to build simple button that, when pressed, would play music from the treehouse. The owner of the house is a children’s musician and wanted to extend that wonder outside to the treehouse she built out of an old tree.
To build this, I programmed a Raspberry Pi to run a simple program (when powered on) that, when triggered by a button, would play one of the many songs saved on the included micro-sd card.
The full setup includes a simple big-red-button, the Raspberry Pi in a waterproof case (with electrical tape to help close off any seals for extra protection), an outdoor, weatherproof amp, and two Yamaha outdoor speakers.
